Holy Week 2018

Since Ash Wednesday, parishioners have been preparing in different ways to make the journey through Holy Week. This week we will follow the Lord Jesus along his journey into Jerusalem, to the Upper Room and to Calvary.


Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion

Palm will be blessed and distributed at all Masses.

Holy-Week mini-retreat

Martin McConigley & Fr Tony Draper are leading Holy Week mini-retreat entitled “People of the Passion” in St Anne’s Parish Room.
• Monday: “Were you not also with him in the garden?”
• Tuesday: “30 pieces of silver”
• Spy Wednesday: “Women on the road to Calvary”.
Retreat begins after 10:30 Mass with a cup of tea and concludes at 12:30.

Tuesday of Holy Week

Confessions in St Mary’s from 8:00am – 11:00pm.
Two priests will be available all through the day. Parishioners are invited to follow a Path of Prayer which offers an examination of conscience around “Reconciliation and Healing in the Family.”
Penitential Service at 8:00pm with visiting priests.

Spy Wednesday

7:00pm Mass of Chrism in Mullingar Cathedral. A bus is available for parishioners. Please contact Mary in the parish office on 9027518.

Red Alert Weather status

PARISH UPDATE

St Mary’s Church will be closed from 3pm today (Thursday) and will reopen for 10:30am Mass on Friday morning 2 March. This will be the only Mass tomorrow.
There is no 7:30am or 9:30am Mass on Friday morning.

ADORATION CHAPEL

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will cease at 3pm today and resume when the Red Alert Weather Status is lifted about 1pm tomorrow.

DAILY BROADCAST OF MASS
