Easter Octave 2020

Χριστός Ανέστη … Αληθώς Ανέστη
Christ is risen – He has indeed risen!

We wish all our parishioners the graces and blessings of Easter.

Sincere thanks to all who have been in contact with us during the past week and especially to those who have kept us in your prayers.

The bulletin for the Easter Octave is provided below. If you have a relative or a neighbour who is cocooning at present, can we ask you to print a copy for them please?

The 9:30am Mass will be broadcast from Monday – Saturday during the Easter Octave. Devotions – Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction will take place from Monday – Friday at 7:30pm. Bígí linn agus fáilte!

While it was not possible to complete Lent as we would have wished, let us trust that God will reward our Lenten efforts, and that our current sacrifices will, in God’s providence, bear fruit in a new springtime for our Church and our world.

A note is included in the bulletin also for parents of First Communion and Confirmation candidates who will be affected by Friday’s announcement of the extension of restrictions due to the COVID pandemic.

We keep in prayer all “Frontline Staff” who are working at local and at national level to #FlattenTheCurve – especially those who are also keeping their families going “one day at at time”.

On Holy Thursday evening, 10,000 individual visitors spent time with us for prayer. As a result, our server was not able to cope and some of you experienced a loss in signal! We realised that we need to flatten the curve by making a significant upgrade to our webserver. We hope that this investment will provide our online parishioners with a steady signal.

Your encouragement and generous support through www.Paypal.me/NavanParish has enabled this investment in our “virtual parish.” Nár laga Dia sibh!
