During the past few months, many people went beyond the call of duty to ensure that the invitation to the World Meeting of Families would be taken up generously in our parish. This resulted in 12 coaches from our parish making their way to the Phoenix Park for Mass with Pope Francis last Sunday.

Some of those who contributed to the success of the past week include the staff in the parish office – especially Donna & Mary who worked a very efficient Booking Office since last May. Thanks to the many Volunteers, Host Families and all who took part in Garda Vetting and Volunteer training.

Many singers have also benefitted from the choir rehearsals and the social dimension of the gatherings which were led by Jim Walsh over recent months. The attendance of so many singers from around the diocese of Meath received much favourable comment by the organisers of the Papal Mass. Thanks to David Burke & Ephrem Feeley for all the encouragement which they gave to the Mercy Schola in recent months.

Thanks to all who helped to decorate our Church grounds, to the Parish Pastoral Council and the Parish Hospitality Committee who ensured that everyone was made welcome in Navan.

RTÉ’s Nationwide broadcast a segment on the visit of the Icon of the Holy Family to our parish. View it by following this link.

We will soon be adding some photos to this page for those parishioners who do not use Facebook or Instagram.
